At the SCCOE, there is free parking in the lot next to the building.
You can catch the shuttle bus to the Google Workshop/Tour and/or the SCCOE at the front of the Marriott. The FREE shuttle to Google leaves promptly at 7:45 AM. Please arrive early to avoid missing this great event. Shuttles leave for the Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) for afternoon workshops at 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM.

If you are driving yourself, the address of the Googleplex is 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043. You can park without charge in the lots around the cluster of office buildings. Meet at the lobby of CL3 (Critenden Building 3). Please aim for an 8 AM arrival and be in your seat by 8:30 AM.

Frustrated when you have to wait for someone else to
update it? The presenter made her own web site using
Weebly.com. Following her instruction, you will have
time to start your own library web site and leave with an
actual product!

Description

DEMCO presents a practical, hands-on seminar where
participants learn and practice basic repairs for both
hard and softbound books. Emphasis is placed on becoming
familiar with techniques and materials for economical
in-house repair of materials that must be available for
frequent use. Additionally, protective measures which
will extend the life of new materials will be demonstrated
and discussed.

This workshop is useful for anyone involved in repair of library
materials. Participants will gain skills that can be shared
with staff or volunteers.

FREE ready reference works, selected from the California
Learning Resource Network collection of pre-screened
and professionally evaluated Web Information Links.

This session makes use of two Web 2.0 Cloud-based applications,
Pinterest “boards” and StichIt “threads,” to present and play
selections from three online video collections gathered by
the presenter from the YouTube video vaults.
