SESSION DESCRIPTION
This presentation will explore the social media environment, address information literacy, teach how to distinguish among trusted environments and will explore the adoption of safe and responsible social media technologies that can be used in an academic network so that students can creatively express themselves in ways that foster innovative solutions to assignments. This integration will result in a better understanding of cyber safety, digital citizenry and incorporate 21st-century best practices with social media while adhering to the new CIPA (child privacy) requirements.
