Following your ancestors’ paper trail helps create an interest in research and can lead to a narrative of your ancestors’ lives. Using the book “The Cactus on My Forehead” as a model, the author will demonstrate a process that will boost interest in researching original documents. Consequently, this will draw interest to history and creative writing. The model is that of a long and important presence of a Mexican American family in North America.
